Open Back Banjo

Open Back Banjo

Lame Horse Instruments are produced by the father and son team of Chris and Jeremy Jenkins in their respective workshops in Mansfield and Austin, Texas.

Their open back 5 string banjo is a beautiful sounding and looking instrument. Solid tone wood block rim construction and the "permit fit" neck wedge make the sound difference. The solid exotic tone wood rim not only looks beautiful, but rings compared to dead sounding laminate rims.

Lame Horse also offers a 6 string model dubbed "The Incredible Gitjo" made for guitar players who desire the resophonic sound that a really good banjo produces.
